Whether you're at a café, bar, university, or any public space, open the app to see who else is active nearby. Kismo works in real-time, allowing you to discover shared presence around you.
Explore profiles around you. See something interesting? Tap the Spark button to send a signal.Sometimes, that’s how spontaneous interactions begin.
If someone decides to respond, you’ll receive a Spark in return. When two Sparks align, a real-time interaction unlocks. What comes next... is your move.
If both users are active Platinum Members, a private chat window unlocks for 24 hours.
Platinum Members can choose to display selected social media. If enabled, you’ll be able to view only what the user has allowed.
The Kismo map comes alive with Kismo Zones, areas that indicate active user clusters. Some Zones are created automatically when multiple users are nearby. Others are user-created and carry a custom name and vibe, a signature left on the map by its creators. Observe. Appear. Feel where the energy is.

Is Kismo a dating app ?
No. Kismo is a social experience game based on proximity. It is designed to encourage playful, real-time interactions in public spaces.
Do I need to allow Kismo to use my phone's location ?
Yes. Kismo depends on your phone's location to show you other Kismo users in the area. It is also required for monitoring (not recording) your location while the app is closed, so as to delete your location record when you move away from the area.
How large is the area a nearby Kismo user can be found ?
The area is typically a circle with a radius of 50 meters. However, the GPS coordinates the phone provides to the app can sometimes be inaccurate.
The size of the area is such that only people in your vicinity (people who can already see you in real life) can see your presence in their radar, and vice versa.

How to avoid other users having me on their radar ?
Kismo records your location only when you open the app. Once your location is recorded, other nearby users can see your presence in their radar.
You can specify for how long your record will be visible to other users in your Settings tab.
If after opening the app you no longer want to be visible to other users, you can sign out (from within the Settings tab) or you can use the notification that appears when the app is in the background, to delete your record.
Your location record will also be deleted when you move away from the area you last opened the app.
What information about me is shown to other users ?
When setting up a profile, Kismo requires to input your gender, a profile photo and a nickname. That's it !
If you can create a Kismo ID, when connected, the other user can see the details you have provided about your social accounts (optional)
Can I chat with other users ?
If you have a subscription that enables the chat feature, a messaging channel is opened when you connect with some other user. This channel will be open for the next 24 hours.
You will be able to chat even after moving away from the area, but only for the next 24 hours.
After the 24 hours period the channel will close and you will (both) not have access to the messages.
How do I get support ? Where is the contact page ?
You can open a support ticket from within the app by navigating to your Settings tab. Follow the instructions to submit your message.
How do I delete my account ?
You can delete your account from within the app by navigating to your Settings tab.
